It's been a long journey of figuring out how I wanted my brows to look and then actually achieving it. I went through a bushy brow phase, a super thin brow phase, and an almost imperceptible arch phase. Now I think I'm finally happy with how they look. Defined enough to be polished, but light enough to look soft. The attached pictures are recent looks I did. I might post a brow tutorial soon once I get back to my actual computer and nicer camera.

In The Spotlight: NARS Cosmetics
Am I making a post just to rave about a whole brand? YES. My first personal makeup purchase ever was a NARS blush in Taj Mahal. You're probably thinking "Wow, way to pick the loudest shade possible as your first impression" but honestly, it was the best decision I ever made (makeup-wise) because it opened my eyes to the world of high pigmentation and blendability. And maybe it does make me a little biased because it set the bar so high but isn't that what you want from your makeup? For the quality to be so high that it's almost unmatched? Since that first purchase, I've dabbled in Mac, Smashbox, Make Up For Ever, Tarte, Urban Decay etc etc etc! But I always come slinking back to a NARS counter and am ALWAYS being mesmerized by the bright colors and smooooooth textures. Leave it to me to always have a NARS product on a wish list or shopping list or just because list.
Now, what I'm raving about is NARS core and permanent color collections. The recent themed collections they've been pumping out are hit-or-miss and it sucks because I expect so much from this brand. But I've learned my lesson and stick to their staples. But every once in a while, I do kick myself for missing out on a limited edition palette and tear myself apart over it. DEAR HEAVENS PLEASE BRING BACK THE DANMARI PALETTE AND I SWEAR I'LL THROW MY MONEY AT IT. Sigh. I shouldn't be so emotionally invested in this brand but here I am, using caps lock...
So that is my little "rave" post. I do hope to add the Sheer Matte foundation (Stromboli? Barcelona? IDK) and their new Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder to my collection. I do need to pick up a back up Smudge-Proof and Fantasia lip liner. Oh no I'm stopping now K BYE!

My Vanity/Makeup Collection
So I like makeup. Makeup, for me, is one of the first things that comes to mind whenever someone asks me what is on my wishlist. I can't really explain why. Maybe it's because I can play around with it and change how I look on a daily basis. Or blending colors and drawing lines. I don't know. I just really like it. To the point of excess. I get a tinge of guilt whenever I describe my recent makeup purchases to family or friends. Now, I don't drive myself into debt over it, or choose a new palette over a paying a phone bill. I understand the amount of money I spend can go towards something better. But to me, right now, there isn't much better. Makeup (and skincare) is therapy to me. An escape, if you will. So without further ado, let me show you my own personal paradise.

And. Here. We. Go.
Let me just start off by saying- DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I'VE TRIED TO START A BLOG, AND MISERABLY FAILED?
I am cursed with the motivation, attention span, and commitment of an adolescent sloth. Which sucks, I think, because I have all these neat things in my head I want to talk about. For instance, what products I think I are entiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrely overrated or where I plan on draining my resources next. PLUS, this is a nice way to escape how mundane my life actually is. They just. don't. get. me. UGH. Sorry for the theatrics. I actually have no idea what this first post should really be. Maybe an introduction? Well, this is as good an introduction as you'll likely ever get.
